Dr. Payvandi completed his medical training at Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine in California in 2001. He completed his residency in Orthopaedic surgery at POH Medical Center, Michigan State University in 2006. He has completed extensive fellowship training in shoulder and elbow surgery with the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in 2007, as well as a hand fellowship with the University at Buffalo, SUNY in 2008.

Dr. Payvandi began private practice in August, 2008, with a practice emphasis on arthroscopic and reconstructive surgery of the shoulder, elbow, wrist, and hand. Professional memberships include the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics, the American Osteopathic Association, the American Society for Surgery of the Hand, and the California Orthopaedic Association.
Dr. Payvandi has authored several publications and lectures on upper extremity related issues. He was awarded a shoulder and elbow traveling fellowship to Japan in April, 2007.

Dr. Payvandi enjoys traveling, hiking, camping, and gardening.
